I see a lot of people complaining and forgetting that this institution is giving us free help. It’s also dealing with millions of people that their rights have being violated in different ways . I just called today , chose a dial back , and they responded in less than a minute to my surprise after reading so many negative reviews . I was giving the information of the local office to call and explain my situation . The person on the phone was very kind and professional. I understand how frustrated we can be when dealing with an institution violating our rights , nevertheless, we should hold our horses and try not to trow that frustration to the organization that is willing to help the best they can with the available resources.which are not much , and it’s not their fault . How many out

Many ppl don't realize these ppl have little money and fewer attorneys and others working for little or no money. Cost of law school and cost of living higher, means most attys chose different career paths. the need for free help is huge. Trump and DeSantis cutting services to help average folks, especially legal, which is so costly. For ppl complaining they didn;t take their calls or call back - they don't owe you that. Did you or anyone you know volunteer to join them or contribute, for most, I'm sure it's a no. Yet, you feel entitled that they should help you?

I've tried for years to get in touch with The ACLU of FL about a constitutional rights issue. I've donated a lot of money to the organization and when I've tried to get help, I couldn't reach anyone. My suggestion is to stop donating until they start helping. Claiming to stand up for people's constitutional rights while not being available to them when they call or walk-in is nothing short of fraud.

I have tried to reach the ACLU for over 6 months! By phone and email. Its like every other institution in Fl, they are a sham of an organization. I guess if you do not have a celebrity spot-light they have no interest in getting justice for you. They definitely are a fake organization.

They'll brush you off immediately unless you've been picked up be the media. It's just another business getting all kinds of money and do the very least for real day to day people. If you can save your money and hire a private attorney. This place sucks big time. They've let Black people down it's nothing like it was a few decades ago. They couldn't petition federal court for temporary injections related to several civil rights violation cases both state/local and private institutions that have blatantly caused intentional harm to the black communities civil rights. This place is a joke.
