I hired Mannheim to handle my divorce many years ago. He charged me $10,000. Once he had my money, weeks went by without hearing from him. I contacted his office and told him that I was not happy with the way he wasn’t handling my case properly and I would like my money back so I could hire a different attorney. He then started making excuses and said that he would keep me advised on what was happening from then on. After that, my ex husband had a scheduled weekend visitation from which he failed to return my 4 yr old. I called the police, and they started looking for my son. Attorney Alan Manheim was the worst worst attorney I ever hired, he did not keep me a prized about what he was filing, demanded all his money upfront, he did not keep me informed as a client, couldn’t get a hold of him, broke client confidentiality, as a client he did just a overall bad job, he took 7500.00 and spent it and did not get any real results that helped me in anyway shape or form, he told me everything I wanted to here as a client in need of legal services, once I paid him it was like a week later my retainer was basically all gone, he is a shake down artist, to make matters even worse I’m a disabled handicapped person and I was forced and have no options but to file bar complaints as a result I fired him and asked for all my money back, he told my credit card company straight u
