Alaska Native Justice Center

The Alaska Native Justice Center chose to send their entire legal team on vacation/to a conference the week of my hearing, when I needed an advocate to sit with me in the courtroom. They wouldn't help me file for a continuance so that I could gather evidence, they refused to even let me store my evidence at their office so it wouldn't get stolen. It fit into a binder and has since been stolen out of my car. I needed help and they chose to use tribal funds to get drunk on vacation and pretend that they help people in this legal system. I was belittled, when I told them about the abuse I was experiencing and how much worse it would get in the coming months. I told Ruby and Taylor that I needed help. I needed someone to sit with me in the courtroom to help me stay focused so that I could

Again, I tried to get help with this place. Again, I get the door slammed in my face because they don't help a mother in need of defense against the state and Kawerak did nothing either because the female did not like me. It is sad that anyone who can not afford an attorney and try to come here and ask for help, they don't help fight for native rights at all 😭 This place does not even deserve a star at all, no wonder why paralegals find a real attorney to work for.

An absolute waste of grant money. They treat victim's of domestic violence with contempt. They care more about lining their pockets than helping people who have experienced extreme trauma. They retraumatized myself and son.

They offer great support services. I go back often just to say hi.

Picking up report card incentives for 1 of my kiddos, she did super awesome. Thank you Youth Empowerment for rewarding our children for good grades. She bought a Champion outfit!! 😁🤩🤩🤩🤩😁
