ARAG Legal Insurance

Arag legal insurance has potential of being beneficial to have. Cost of a years coverage is less than a few hours of lawyers hourly rates. Have had this coverage for over 20 years, because it was offered through employers annual benefits enrollment. However, was only able to actually use it a few times. Either because there were no lawyers local to me for the needs I had, or listed lawyer didn't want to deal with Arag because they were lowballed on being compensated fairly, or because there was some stipulation that denied coverage. So yes, it might save you money, but don't count on being able to use it for every legal need that may arise.

Arag has been a blessing ever since I started using them. They have helped me with moving violation tickets to serious legal matters. Shoutout to Tesla also for working with this company to offer it to their employees. I never knew how important it is to have legal services so easy to access. Thank you Arag for always being available, having great attorneys and having great phone reps. Every time I’ve called to get help from a phone rep, my situation was handled, I was pointed in the right direction and ended the call with more knowledge.

A benefit enrollment option with my employer and I will ALWAYS enroll with ARAG. Our experience was perfection. Finding an attorney in the network was easy, the attorney herself was absolutely phenomenal (thank you, Lindsay!), and the minimal cost we incurred was well worth the service and peace of mind we received. All my co-workers who have used ARAG have had similarly wonderful experiences. Highly recommend.

I signed up with ARAG through my work benefits paying a low monthly of approx $17 a month. I did sign up solely because I heard having ARAG would make the cost of a Living Trust a lot less and it was. I'm definitely happy with the service and the attorney I used through ARAG so much so that I feel the ARAG Legal insurance is worth that monthly payments for any legal issues that may turn up. We had a situation where my husband was served with papers that said that he was being sued for an accident that happened two years ago (which there was no one listed at being in fault), it was nice to know we had ARAG to fall back on if needed. I started a case but didn't have to use them, it was handled by our car insurance. It was nice to know that we had ARAG to turn to if it wasn't covered.

I was disappointed by this service. I expected more guidance and communication. All I wanted to utilize the service for was a general will. I found the general will forms on my own but wanted attorney guidance to ensure I filled everything out correctly and to get it notarized. I was provided a list of attorneys to contact and have not heard back yet, it has been a number of weeks. This is basically a service that provides you with a list of attorneys that you then need to contact and wait to hear back from. I thought this service would be more engaged and directly help me. Maybe that was a misunderstanding on my part, I would not pay for these services again.
