Tim Colgan is an amazing attorney that I have known for the last 15 years. He's assisted many of my clients with real estate transactions and has consistently demonstrated professionalism and a very high level of knowledge in his field. I am currently suing Mr. Colgan for fraudulent and unethical legal practices. I run a small nonprofit organization and we’re trying to buy property in Louisburg, NC. Mr. Colgan was supposed to hold my earnest money during the due diligence period, but when I rescinded the offer (before the deadline!) Mr. Colgan refused to return the $1,000 earnest money. By law he was supposed to return the money without delay, however, he’s refused communication with me for the past month. His negligent actions had a ripple effect throughout my business, and I think it’s important to warn other small business owners to STAY AWAY from this attorney.
