Not sure what the point of the GBLS is for? Called and stopped the office. Completely unhelpful. Was there for an illegal repo. Which means I need immediate help. Was told they’re most likely backed up and can’t help right away. But they still wanted me to do an intake. Why? To waste more of my time Or to Justify your funding. When I need a lawyer more than anything - 3 times I called and once I physically walked in the GBLS. I was shocked at how ‘non - existent’ the service is. So to be clear. I am Below the poverty line, tried to get help for a service we all pay taxes for ( GBLS gets state money ) and I got zero Help. This state and city is such a scam. It would be nice if these progressive organizations actually helped people. Does the GBLS only exist to get grant money ? Do you help

Don’t choose this organization. They signed an agreement on my behalf that explicitly stated in an email to the attorney that i was not comfortable sighing. This attorney committed malpractice and ruined my life. They pick and choose and are also just lazy. Don't expect actual law work from here. The attorney assigned has been on 7 vacations in the past three months…

I am so upset it was approximately a month and a half since I contacted this office I explained my case they told me and assured me that they would be able to help me with my case this morning they called me telling me the same thing that I already know and to go back to the lawyer who had my case previously, mind you they cannot understand if one looks for it it is because economically you cannot pay a private one they recommend me save money how am I going to save money if I don't work don't come here you will waste your time they do not help in anything until anxiety grab listen to that call in the morning they get your hopes up and then they do not help you stop playing with people's feelings and legal help😠😠😠😠😠

Amidst the deluge of bad reviews, I can say that I had a tremendously positive experience entirely thanks to Sandra T at GBLS. She is the only reason I had any success dealing with my issues with the unemployment office. A year and a half of fighting later, we have everything sorted thanks to her. I hope that I never have to reach out to this office again, but if I do I know who I'm asking for!

I hate this place they make situations worse than they are. They pick and choose whom they want to help.(Maybe it’s my skin color) They are Completely bias,tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. They are really out here playing with peoples lives.Advising other parties to take actions that don’t even make sense completely disregarding the child that’s in between all of this. This place should be shut down like literally. People should love their jobs not purposely destroying lives because they can. It’s the way they were walking on egg shells with me regarding a serious matter barely wanting to help me.They have no problem going above and beyond for my Abuser against me.
