Attorney Kayla Steefel represented the plaintiff in my divorce case at Hartford Superior Court. I found her representation deeply troubling and misleading. She relied on false claims, including fabricated medical conditions and contradictory testimony that conflicted with the plaintiff’s own sworn statements to government agencies, including immigration filings. The plaintiff, while receiving Social Security benefits, free healthcare, and free education, engaged in an extramarital relationship. Complete waste of time. I don’t recommend. I did an intake seeking an attorney and I already stated in my paperwork and intake that I was looking for an attorney as I already have an educational advocate. I was asked to send over the last ppt meeting info, only for it to not even be reviewed. I get to the meeting and the attorney Maria has a social worker, and law student with her. I thought it’s weird that a social worker was there but I’m like it’s ok, whatever. Maria verified my information and asks my child’s education experience. As I’m explaining to her she says that I can’t have an advocate and an attorney which makes no sense because they are legal services so it’s like why the hell am I here. They make no sense. I suppose it could be a great place for some people but not for me. They don't handle any housing cases to help people get their security deposit back...They just refer you to statewide legal services and they never answer the phone. It sure would be nice to have somewhere to go for legal advice smh

If it ain't about money they not going to help no1,I was living at that place with water n electricity then the owner turns it off on me n my kids,on a whole year with out water n electricity while I was paying rent,cause I didn't want to be in the streets.they called me with an attorney then 2 weeks ago by n nope I don't have 1 all cause what I don't know it's sad it's ridiculous it's wrong.

I was tricked and believing that I owed the landlord money but it was the other way around if you're wise I recommend not going here are you like being swindled that's on you
