The seller of a home I was looking at used these guys as the closing attorney. I felt they were unprofessional and somewhat misleading. We ordered a title exam through them which was supposed to be a "third party vendor". The words they used. We decided to pass on the house and waited on our escrow. They asked of we would like to cover the title exam out of the escrow. Cool. I need a receipt of the title exam to verify that I am paying for something legitimate. Since I did sign to be responsible for the title cost. They send me a typed up invoice that looks flaky so I do some research. Poor communication! We used them because the seller chose them. I was sent several dates to choose from to schedule the closing. I took off of work, my dad traveled to help me understand all the paperwork, as I’m still new to this process, we scheduled repairs and transfer of utilities, water, gas… All of these were scheduled for the day after the closing. We went to the closing, stayed for the entire time signing all the papers, and then we were told that we had to wait on the seller to approve something before they could release the funds that we were owed. We literally sat for another 30 minutes and they were told that we could go ahead and go and then just come back later to pick up the checks.
