In '07, I was arrested, after my daughter's boyfriend at the time had physically hurt me on 12 occasions, police hadn't taken any action because of "no visible marks"...he & my daughter claimed scratches that were actually from their cat were something I had done. In court, I was warned to plead "no contest" or I could be held for up to a year. I served a sentence. Now? They want MONEY to take the incident off Public Record! I'm having to live in a weekly rental, since "domestic violence" would disqualify me from renting anywhere else! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY?!

Not at all helpful. If you're not rich with deep pockets or politically powerful; you're a nobody and just don't matter. I have never had my rights upheld in or by this city.
