I rented from Peter Baker for several years. When I moved out, I asked for an itemized list of deductions from my security deposit. Instead of receiving it within the 14 days required under New York law, I was threatened with legal action twice just for inquiring. When I did finally receive the list, it included charges for items that were already in poor condition when I moved in, such as a broken microwave and stained curtains. I was also charged for issues I believe were due to lack of ventilation or normal wear and tear (like mold in the bathroom). In my opinion, several of the deductions did not reflect damages I caused. Communication throughout the process felt dismissive, and I did not feel that I was treated with fairness or transparency. While I’m not seeking money back, I want

I had problem with Peter Baker’s professionalism in 2021 when we were purchasing our property in Dundee. Please be AWARE stay away from this law firm and do not hire Peter Baker for anything. I wish I had seen genuine reviews like when when I hired this law firm. Peter Baker is an UNPROFESSIONAL disguised as a professional. He made us feel comfortable by phone call but was a completely different person when we met him. Beware.

Peter and his staff have always been professional, timely, accurate, and efficient in every transaction we have used them for. Real Estate Closings, Contracts, Wills, etc. I would recommend this firm to any of my colleagues and friends

We had our wills done here and things seemed to go pretty well. We had trouble with our medicos insurance being used by a family member who wasn’t on our policy and needed help getting it taken care of. We left the only copies we had with Mr.Baker and trusted they’d be safe. They’re now missing! They’ve claimed to send them to another law firm and that law firm denied several times ever seeing or receiving them. Now nobody at Bakers Law office wants to take responsibility for this or calls or emails! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone! I’m so disappointed in the lack of responsibility for a law firm!
