My experience with this law firm has been so terrible that my usual reluctance to speak publicly has been overwhelmed by my desire to prevent others from enduring the incredible and unnecessary suffering I experienced by engaging Hardin & Ball. Over the course of a multi-year, complex legal matter, I was subjected to provably excessive billing, across multiple categories, to a degree that I can only interpret as systematic and deliberate overcharging. At the most sensitive and critical point — when a settlement agreement was finally on the table — Ben Hardin III and Julie Ball imposed a charging lien, which I believe was intended to pressure me into paying even more to the firm. Julie Ball was hired by mother and I for probate case. 1st month billing was over $5,000 and her office refused to give a detailed accounting. This attorney billed us over $14,000, did not advise us how to proceed as we informed her we need to know what to do. She breeched the contract speaking to people not connected to the case and billed over $500 and billed us more when we questioned why did you speak to person that holds no gain. Attorney Ball was constantly saying "you want to remove me from your case" after she had been paid over $14,000 and nothing was done. Then my mother got a notice of delinquency and my mother panicked that she took her own life because she thought she was going to be homeless because Ball failed to advise her the process. After reading reviews and recommendations I chose Julie to assert me with my mothers will, POA, medical surrogate. Julie and her ladies were kind.. full of compassion... and empathized withvour situation. Moms illness happened so fast and time was crucial.
