We could not be any happier with our experience from the intake with Morgan and being assigned to Perry. Everyone was kind and efficient. Perry takes so much pride in her job and it shows in every detail. Her passion to help others is unmatchable and should not go unnoticed. There are so many places she could have taken her skills beyond grateful she is with your team. Thank you again we could not have asked for a better outcome in the unfortunate time we are enduring. My experience with Legal Aid was extremely disappointing. The staff was unresponsive, often taking days or even weeks to return calls—if they responded at all. I felt rushed and dismissed during the rare times I did get to speak with someone. They seemed more interested in moving cases off their desk than actually helping. If you’re looking for real guidance and timely support, I would not recommend relying on Legal Aid.

I'm in quite the spot at the moment with my landlord. So I reached out to Legal Aid last week. The person on the phone was beyond nasty! I tried giving a quick explanation of what I was calling about. But the person on the phone rudely interrupted me by saying loudly, "I'M NOT TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT YOUR ISSUE IS! YOU NEED TO CALL BACK TOMORROW BETWEEN 9AM and 12 NOON! THEN, WE'LL DECIDE IF YOU QUALIFY FOR OUR HELP!!!" I simply replied, OK. And she hung up. What?! What is going on??? If making that determination is not your job, understood. But was the person having a bad day??? The rudeness was absolutely uncalled for!

I spoke to a woman named Shani (sp?). She was rude and did not know anything about the law. She was only trained to deal very specific matters, which is understandable I take issue with her lack of empathy much more than her lack of any legal knowledge. I do understand the trainees are not lawyers. Shani exhibited a lack of compassion and was not helpful at all. This individual did not let me explain my situation. I tried to explain my situation quickly to not take up time. She threatened to hang up on me if I interrupted her. I was simply trying to explain things. Shani stated that my father was in the hospital and another family member was the property owner. Neither were true. She didn’t care to clarify the fact and she was absolutely not interested in details. Details are actually pa
