Trauma-informed, compassionate, and truly understanding of my needs as a disabled veteran living with combat-related PTSD. She was fully dedicated to ensuring a just outcome in the civil matter I faced. Her professionalism and care were matched only by her humanity. I highly recommend Veterans seek out LASP first when facing legal issues. Their attorneys, paralegals, and support staff are among the best and most humble professionals I have ever known, and I could not be prouder of the work they do for our community. Thank you LASP! ⭐☆☆☆☆ Traumatizing experience with attorney Rachel Houseman at Legal Aid of Southeastern PA I reached out to Legal Aid in the most vulnerable moment of my life, as a mother trying to protect my children from serious ongoing neglect and emotional harm. Instead of receiving compassion or guidance, I was met with the most cold, dismissive, and outright cruel treatment I’ve ever experienced from a legal professional. Attorney Rachel Houseman spoke to me with hostility from the very beginning of our call, based on the false assumption that I had already read a rejection email, which I had not. Her words were biting, her tone accusatory, and her complete lack of empathy was appalling. For an organization meant to serve vulnerable people, it felt more like being cross-examined than helped. Do NOT use this service. This organization seems indifferent to the needs of vulnerable individuals. They permit lawyers and summer interns to offer unsolicited advice to those seeking legal help without fully understanding the broader context . When I attempted to file a complaint on behalf of my daughter, who is experiencing a difficult period, I was not allowed to speak with the manager, Rachel H. to express my concerns. If I could submit the review with minus stars, I would.

I would agree with Mr. Gutierrez and say that there seems to be a bias. I did the initial intake, 2 weeks went by and if I would of never did a follow up, I don't think I would of ever heard back. My "representation" spent little effort to convey my wishes and after talking to another firm; they said that nobody should take more than 48 hours to respond to clients email - which I would go up to a week. The information that was supposed to sent by the other party (per the order) was actually gathered by MY representation and then told that I should of been more patient (even though I "patiently" waited a over month for the information and it was still never sent but I was still in the wrong). I wouldn't recommend anyone I personally know to use this place. Update - A follow-up was sent
