Normally, I do not leave and review, but this situation has got out of hand, and I have to be able to speak up for the community. We all are suffering through the state of Ohio and it's legal aid program that they have for us. This program has been a nightmare for bankruptcy and disabled and people that is on Social Security. I have been calling for over six months trying to file bankruptcy because I am experiencing people taking me to court all type of debt collectors, reaching out to me and my family and just talked to someone today and they told me they're not taking nobody else unless you have wages garnishments.😳 After I done waited so long and I don't have much income to pay other lawyers, and these people can't help us at all. I didn't spend enough time here to give a helpful opinion. What I can say is that the intake clerk got me in, I was seen in 5 minutes time. I can edit my review if my experience with this organization expands. **Update, my experience with this organization will not be expanding at this time. According to a letter I received, Legal Aid receives 30,000 calls each year. I'm sure that this High volume of calls is why careful consideration of cases and their nature is at the root of their decision to take on only specific cases. Legal Aid is a viable resource for people who are in need of legal representation and their income does not exceed a certain amount. Although it is entirely true, I dislike typing or saying it out loud, 'the working poor doesn't stand a chance in this society'. That is

The receptionist made me feel so safe while doing my intake. She was compassionate and very open to listen to my story. Best receptionist I ever talked to in my life.

The receptionist was really nice and they got me a legal aide representative really quick but she didn’t help me at all.. she barely responded to me and she never called when she said she would. I advocated for myself and made it happen for my family. Legal aide society is irrelevant and unneeded
