Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York

I am a victim of a used car scam, and NYS DMV scam, the Legal Aid Society is not funded in Otsego County, NY, so the one in Binghamton, NY referred me to the Syracuse, NY office. They are friendly, but not very helpful at all. Spent several days waiting to speak to an attorney only to find out they do not handle elder abuse cases with seniors like me being scammed out of a car in a rural area and bothered by predatory banks and lousy DMV, and they do not handle many types of civil cases and do not give referrals. It is like a rigged system where they purposefully do not give legal help and do the scams at the same time. My retirement is being ruined by scams and no legal services. 7/18/2024, this place is still worthless. Called again today and guess what? There are NO lawyers who handle my type of case. LOL, yeah, they give aid to themselves and nobody else. I give them a score of ZERO, and if I could I'd give them a negative number. The people who gave them good reviews must work there. JOKE OF A PLACE! Previous: Where are they when people ACTUALLY need them? Pretty worthless. The lawyer I needed was supposedly busy until July, yet the lady on the phone refused to make an appointment for me for July. Guess you get what you pay for (meaning NOTHING.)

I had called to get help for a civil matter. I got a call from Ester Wagner Who spoke with me. I went into details about the case.she asked me to provide her the documents. I rented a car from binghamton to get her the documents. It was a serious matter and I needed her to help me understand and direct Me. she agreed to help me handle the case We spoke multiple times on the phone..so when I trusted her with my paperwork I thought she would at least call me like she did before..the following week I called to see if she gone trough it. After leaving her a voice message she sent an email saying she needed to read it 2 weeks, she decided to write me an email her question why did you want me to read your document? Received call after 7pm the lady was rude, assumptive and seemed in a big hurry and was not listening to me and began to assert I had no case, all in less than 5 minutes. I hung up
