Was told to simply pay or move out. There is no attorney onsite at all. So beware if they are giving you legal advice, that the person giving it to you has about the same credentials as you. I was repeatedly told, "We don't do that, and no that is not how the court system works." The thing about it is the law is the same everywhere, just because you hate socioeconomic disadvantaged people because it reminds you of what you were at one time doesn't mean you won't end up poor once more. It's so sad to think that the "advocate" here gets to make over $100,000 a year, just to tell people lies, and NO, WE DON'T DO THAT.

For my situation, they were about useless. They get you to court but without representation or guidance. They will not help you appeal either. They did file some court papers for me, be wary, their ability to help is limited.

A total blessing in our lives the lawyer she was phenomenal. She was so well educated, and she knew all the laws. She totally helped our family thank God for the donations from the bar and they are associated donors. Seriously I’ve looked this up when I’m from the area. In addition to haven’t worked with the lawyer, as I spoke with and spoke about five stars all the way.

The clueless receptionist was showing an even more lost trainee the position. After seeing that they couldn't help me, I walked out.

Desperate for legal advice and having been told that they are the people to give advice regarding family matters, I called and spoke to a rude woman who flat-out told me that they were refusing to give me any advice. She admitted that they are supposed to give legal advice regarding elder laws but are refusing me on a “case-by-case basis.” Thanks for adding stress and hopelessness to an already significant problem legal aid.
