Ms. Laura Nugent helped me sleep better at night instead of crying myself to sleep. She really paid close attention and took her time with my family. Absolutely an Angel on Earth. Truly a blessing to have someone who cares. Peace and blessings.
My lawyer was amazing!!! Once she was assigned to my landlord tenant case, she immediately got to work examining the ample amount of evidence I provided her, listened intently to my side of the events that led to the case, and then contacted opposing council. My case was resolved before my court date, which was two days before she started working, and I didn't even have to go to court. She forwarded the necessary dismissal paperwork to me for reference, and even kept the lines of communication open for me if we needed to negotiate further with my landlord and their lawyer. It was a truly one of the best experiences I've had with legal representation. I am truly grateful for the support I received from Mrs. Gabby Means esq. and Maryland Legal Aid.
As a respected author and community advocate and single mother of three children navigating life with a spinal injury, no steady income, and no transportation due to documented systemic failures, I turned to Maryland Legal Aid for support navigating housing instability and ADA-related discrimination. I was met with the usual performance: polite voices, procedural roadblocks, and ultimately — nothing. They were more concerned about what they couldn’t do than what they should do. I was told to “reach out to child support enforcement” (which I’ve done repeatedly for 7 years with zero results), and that there was “no mechanism” to appeal a housing voucher denial — despite that denial causing the very crisis I’m now facing. This agency seems better suited to triaging collapse than preventing it
Lazy people, when it comes to work, they don't even want to do that. They talk to people like they beneath them. Females with attitudes except for the older ones. Dress to impress but not impressive. Look at you like you and nobody. Y'all call this legal aid 🤦🏾♂️. Massachusetts legal aid does better than y'all.
Impossible to reach anyone, they hang up the phone on you. Will let cases go on and on and never reach back out. This is deplorable and they don't care if they waste your time. They do not care about people who cannot afford a lawyer. Do not waste your time and know your rights.
