Very skeptical about having a public defender for my indigent loved one from the beginning all the way through the end because without the monetary benefits for the court-appointed defense attorney versus hiring a private attorney, which I highly considered doing and even consulted with a few who were extremely willing to take the case which was being tried, I had a huge doubt that my loved one would be represented fairly.
