New Hampshire Legal Assistance

Very helpful place!!

Steve has been very helpful with my issue. I am glad I was referred to them. Very knowledgeable.

They choose to help only those with situations they think will make landmark cases and grant them national media attention. I went to them after being abused in a hospital setting and where my civil rights were clearly violated. Because it wasn’t up to landmark or profit and attention note worthy enough they stated they wouldn’t help me. They told me and I quote, “Look into a private attorney.” If I had the money I wouldn’t have contacted them. I believe that the government of New Hampshire needs to throughly review who is running the Legal Aid agency and perhaps install some kind of oversight. For the purpose of ensuring all cases get a chance at help. Just a fair warning should you choose to waste your time with them.

Was unable to get assistance for someone who truly needs it because the other party has been and continues to get assistance. Legal was rude and disrespectful in addition to not being able to help. Not say this because our experience was negative, this is how it is.
