To anyone reading this review before hiring Nicholas A. James, Esq. — please read this first. I’m a 100% Disabled Combat Veteran who represented myself (Pro Se) in family court. During that process, I encountered conduct from Mr. James that felt extremely one-sided and dismissive. He submitted a proposed agreement that placed 100% of the financial burden on me, including the full mortgage, while offering no equal time-sharing with my children. On September 18, 2024, the court rejected that proposal and ruled in my favor — granting 50/50 custody and establishing child support consistent with Florida guidelines.
