Only giving 2 stars because if you’re able to get to them then the service is okay, they can’t go to court but they’ll give you legal advice to the best of their ability/knowledge. Otherwise, they rarely answer the phone and take forever to get back to the voicemails. They close early and/or sporadically. If you’re able to get someone on the phone to explain your matter, you’ll receive an email with paperwork you’ll bring to an appointment that’s MONTHS away. Even if it’s urgent. They have walk-in services that are a couple hours twice a week, during working hours that most of us can’t get out of work for. If you’re able to make it to that, you’ll be sitting forever. And this is the only legal office in the Hampton Roads for Navy.

I’ve never actually been here. I wanted to respond to @Natalie R. that a Congressional report is a fairly important document which is stored and archived for decades if not placed in the National Archives in perpetuity. It may seem useless to you now, but could assist you in future with filing claims or further documentation/reporting if you require it. I’m sorry you didn’t get the advice you needed on what to do now, but them helping you file a Congressional report is actually something I’ve never heard a legal professional suggest before.

I moved out my first apartment into a new one. I never got an itemized list of deductions and never saw my $1500 security deposit. I immediately contacted this office set up a virtual appointment and haven’t heard anything.This started in April it is now almost July. The Lieutenant that spoke with my wife was very rude and unprofessional she kept try to over talk my wife questioning her about if her name was on the lease I get the impression that if you are not the active service member and or like a spouse you won’t get taken seriously.And don’t bother calling you’ll get automated message no question

They told me they couldn't help me other than submit a congressional report. What is a report of me telling Congress; "Hey my medical provider, leadership and TRIAD miss treated me on deployment" going to do? I'll admit the guy that had me fill out the application to get service there was nice and felt bad what my command did to me and genuinely cared about my situation and wanted to help. It was the actual legal lady that wasn't really helpful. Especially since they only give you like 30 minutes and rush you out. She told me I would need to come back and schedule another meeting to discuss my options on writing a report. So that session we just talked about what happened.

Terrible service and a total waste of time. Was told that legal couldn’t help due to a new instruction that came out. I asked what the instruction was. The LN2 didn’t know it off the top of her head but the office manager did. I asked if the office manager was present she said no, asked if I could get the office managers name and she said she couldn’t provide the name of said office manager. I gave my information to LN2 and asked her to give it to a JAG and it’s been over 2 weeks with no call/email. No help whatsoever.
