I paid $25.00 fee for a consult. He was not helpful at all and he stated that he would look over my paperwork. He then stated that he couldn’t look over my paperwork, because if he gave me any legal advice he could be sued. He stated that my case was complicated and it would be $10,000. If you’re not going to hire him then he really can’t direct you. All I wanted was direction and my paperwork was filled out. I called prepaid legal services and they were very helpful. I went to him for a consultation and I instantly got a bad vibe. The floor was dingy and the office was smelly and a mess! He was recommended through the bar association. After giving him the consultation fee, he played hard to get and started asking for 10K up front, stating that it was a hard case. It got the feeling that the bar association was used to get lunch money out of me while deterring me from actually hiring him by asking for large sums up front!
