Customer Reviews
My review is that there is no clarity on their website as to what qualifies as low income. San Diego county median income levels say low income is $92,700. This organization informed me that they use the federal poverty level of $31,300. It is not clear what they use for low income guidlelines. Their site uses unclear language "below established income guidelines as determined by Title 25 of the California Administrative Code for Housing and Community Development you are eligible." Why can they not advertise a actual amount? Please help people understand how they can qualify.
I am very disappointed with how I was treated. I put in my application online and was sent an email telling me I could come in on Tuesday or Thursday 1-4 for the guardianship clinic. When I got there, I was handed paperwork to fill out that I had already done for the application. I waited there just to be told they could not help me because I was trying to get guardianship of my son. If you had read my application you would have known why I was asking for help. Weeks before I even went, I emailed you and called with no response. If I could not be helped by your office it would have been nice to know before I drove all the way from Ramona to downtown San diego with my 8 month old.
The family law is truly shameful. It does not protect the abused in a DVRO, but whoever files first. It is shameful that they have no Bias but turn their back when another party asks for their assistance. Making up excuses only for it to be just that an excuse, and rejecting you
My mom called and left a message. No call back. I called days later and left a message and nothing. After the Mother's Day weekend, we finally decided to go in person. The place is in downtown, we took time finding parking and paying for it. We traveled from south san diego and when we get to their office they tell us they can't represent restraint order respondents...our time is valuable and it was a complete waste of time and money that could have been avoided with a simple call back
Mr.Matt Baker, thank you so much for your incredible work on my case. Your dedication and hard work have been invaluable. I'm so grateful for this program and the support it has provided me and my baby during this challenging time Thank you San Diego volunteer Lawyer 🤍
