I recently accompanied my clients, who are first-time homebuyers, to their closing at this attorney's office. Unfortunately, the experience was not very pleasant. The closing attorney came across as dismissive and questioned why I was present for the closing. She frequently referenced her "30 years of experience" in a way that felt unnecessary rather than reassuring. Important details, such as the handover of house keys, were not clearly explained, and her interaction with my clients’ children over a minor issue felt discourteous. While the closing was completed, the overall lack of warmth and professionalism left a negative impression. I am giving two stars instead of one only because the receptionist was courteous and welcoming.

We have been using Smith Cavin & Corbin services for the past 10 years and closed majority of our transactions with this firm and our association would be continued indefinitely. They are the most reputable and outstanding attorneys that we have ever dealt with. The closings happen in-time and in a friendly manner. They make the entire process pleasant, seamless & memorable. The attorneys and staff are very knowledgeable and strive to provide their clients the utmost level of care in a timely and efficient manner. Kristine Cavin handled our refinancing and made it a very easy and quick process! She was very professional, enjoyable to work with, and was wonderful at answering all our questions. The firm worked around our schedule to make signing the documents very convenient for us. I will be using her firm again if the need ever arises and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a real estate attorney!

Low efficiency!! Didn’t know why lennar chooses this attorney for closing. Always late late late. Not professional.

Prepare to wait. Friday Closing Showed up 15 minutes early. Was told to wait in vehicle and they would call when ready. After an hour and a couple of calls we demanded to see an attorney. Our lender showed up to make sure everything went smoothly. They told her they had everything and she was not allowed to be there do to Covid. Then they continued to pointing blame at our lender for not having CD there. CD was there sense Tuesday and they never responded to our lender. My client and I have closed on many homes throughout the years and have never experienced a closing this unorganized. Embarrassed for my client and lender for the way they were treated as Smith Calvin & Corbin took no responsibility in a botched closing.
