I am extremely disappointed with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. For the past several days, I have been calling every single day to try to reach someone about applying for legal assistance. My father, a U.S. Navy veteran, and I have been facing ongoing discrimination and retaliation from our landlord here in El Paso, and we urgently need help. Each time I call, the system tells me I’m “number 32 in the queue.” What’s unbelievable is that it’s been the exact same number—day after day. It feels completely automated, as though no one is actually there to help or even answer calls. This is not just frustrating, it’s disheartening. Well, I expected a little more, but just got told I need to call first, and spend the next 3 to 4 hours waiting to see if someone answers to make an appointment. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Worthless. Nobody answers. Been stuck on hold as caller #1 after waiting 5 hours and 36 minutes. Still no answer.

Never returned my call after I walked up there and filled out a bunch of paper work for an important situation. Very disappointed with the lack of effort.

Worthless. I'm seeking legal assistance for a small business, which the website says they help with but have to apply over the phone. No one ever picks up, although being on hold for hours. Went in person and they also can't take the application on site. Then what's the point?
