Not to be trusted. Sided with the landlord from the start. Even recorded our phonecalls without disclosure which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Their whole purpose is to compensate the landlord whether the tenant truly owes them or not. They don't fight for repairs unless pushed to and want to just pay off the landlord and close the case. They look down upon tenants and believe that basic human rights are an amenity, such as hot water. Defend yourself, you're better off

Bronx Defenders are AMAZING if it wasn't for BD specially Yaritza I would be on the street or trying to get in a shelter!! In the knick of time I got a call back and Yaritza did what I thought didn't exist because it's impossible to navigate HRA but she is fast, efficient and knowledgeable about the system!!
