The Law Office of Ellen M. McLaughlin

We were referred to Ellen for probono work on a case of ours. Now, it being "free" I didn't expect the world's best attorney or even the best legal advice. However, I did expect something. Upon our first and only meeting, she wouldn't really listen to us. She would talk over us and interject. She wanted to be aggressive towards our case, which we didn't mind too much. But after our meeting with her, there was pretty much nothing. I tried calling and she said she'd call back. I tried emailing and she said she'd get in touch. She hasn't responded to anything since, nor had the common courtesy to give us answers to questions that were hot and needed answering. We needed help and now it's too late and we're stuck in some issues we can't get out of. If you choose her to be your attorney or cons

I found this attorney to be more interested in telling me what my life was about than what I was telling her was happening. I wasn't paying for a life coach, I was looking for help.......I found no one at this law firm was interested in that. Ellen also took a very aggressive approach to our talk in what I can only understand to of been an attempt to intimidate me into listening to her. It was the first time in my 58 years I have seen an attorney be more interested in talking someone out of getting a lawyer than helping them. Go anywhere else.

ELLEN IS A CROOK she charged me 4500$ right off the top & said it should take care of my case entirely simple divorce & child case the other party did not have attorney nor did we have $ or property to divide. out of no were i get these 1000$ debts from her office i asked her why, & she replied im "super busy" check your email, i explained im locked out of it. so she said my assistant will go over it with you, she never did explain. finally i reopened my email & she was charging me 300hr, but thats not just it i thought i paid in full for my case, well she was chargin me for everytime i called & asked when was my next court date or basic attorney client questions i did not understand why she charged me at the rate of 300hr to ask about my case. so i got charged 3 times 1000$ea time, i aske

I would not recommend her, I had a consultation with her assistant and when she asked who was the plaintiffs attorney was and I mentioned to her who it was, she then said that they can't help me. I retained another attorney and when I went to court, this particular assistant was talking and assisting with this particular attorney, I was surprised that this attorney would let her assistant converse with another attorney while in court and hand her paperwork for a specific case that didn't pertain to her.

This women is the best! When my daughter was getting bullied at school she help our family get justice. She stood up to the principal and school district and got my daughter back in school.!
