I went through Utah Dispute Resolution’s mediation process in a custody case where I was self-represented. I had recently relocated for safety reasons, and I made it clear that moving back wasn’t possible because I have other children who depend on me. Instead of exploring realistic interstate options or acknowledging that families can successfully co-parent across state lines, the mediators framed my situation as “unstable” and pushed for a one-sided agreement. I felt pressured into signing something that was logistically impossible for me to sustain. This company is trash! First they sent me text messages that they can’t move on with my case because I did not pay $35. I told them I’m not paying a dime until I am able to afford. I was okay with them closing the case cuz I told them I’ll just reapply. I reapplied and paid the $35 then they told me they can’t help me because I don’t have information for the respondent who I have no contact with due and who is incarcerated. They needed his email but what email were you going to send to if he’s incarcerated? What contact number where you going to use if he’s incarcerated? I asked for my $35 feet back and they said it’s no -refundable for service they did not provide. Pathetic people and workers for this company who only want money

They are willing to represent family members which is most definitely a conflict of interest and would not give me a fair chance at an impartial mediation. When this was brought up not only did they deny this but they were exceptionally rude. If you decide to go through this organization I strongly recommend that you proceed with caution.

Been here way too many times with my ex-wife. They help with the logic and reasoning process - and are very fair. They understand the Mediation process, and I have never felt slighted against. Highly Recommend.
