First time calling and getting a live person (Steve C.). He was well worth the wait. He was in the bar fees/licensing section. By far the nicest, kindest, and most helpful person at WSBA!!! Stayed on the phone with me until my payment went through. Provided step-by-step instruction to get me across the finish line. He could tell I was having a terrible/off day and was worried about my license lapsing/late fees. Put my mind at ease and verified that I am in complete compliance for the 2026 year. If there was a customer service satisfaction survey I would have stayed on the phone to take it and give him the highest marks. Thanks, Steve! You turned my day around and provided a person in need assistance and comfort (for no extra charge)! -BK

I opened my grievance a year ago. Been through an interview around April then when I ask for an update I always get "We are working on it". I don't think anyone actually works here

The WSBA is supposed to protect the public and uphold legal accountability in Washington—but when it comes to the corruption and harm caused by billion-dollar corporations like Greystar, their silence is deafening. My wife and I lost two small businesses in Seattle after Greystar’s mismanagement and internal misconduct devastated us financially and emotionally. Despite reaching out, despite the overwhelming federal findings now confirmed by the Department of Justice and FTC, WSBA has failed to take action or connect us with meaningful legal help. How many families and tenants need to be harmed before someone at WSBA pays attention? This WA Bar does not protect the public they protect there Lawyers at all costs. Also FYI if your thinking the Lawyer legal directory Profiles are current valid information , they might not be and the WA Bar allows this bad behavior also. If you file a complaint more than likely they won’t read it and they will take the Lawyers side. What you have to remember is there Lawyers are members and pay dues so they are priority not the public.

I filed a grievance against a lawyer and explicitly stated what professional code of conduct the lawyer violated. The response was if the judge did not say anything about the issue, then there is no problem. The judge was not talking about the issue I complained about. So, an unethical professional conduct was okayed by WA Bar association. It is unethical and corrupt. Shame on you all!
